Dr. Coy Barker

A ministerial visionary who epitomizes the result of pursuing a God-given
passion, Dr. Coy Barker is dynamically multigifted and stands distinctively with
over 35 years of building the Kingdom of God.

He was born in Hollis, Oklahoma on what some would call the wrong side of the tracks. His parents were leaders in the Assembly of God Church and were consistent benefactors in their church community despite relentless financial insufficiency. They passed away when Dr. Barker was in his teenage years but he had already learned the basic principles of being a sower and made a decision to break the curse of poverty off his life.

Dr. Barker recognized and acknowledged the call of God on his life at the age of 16 years. He relocated to Texas and became a Youth Pastor while pursuing his education in Christian Theology at the Berean Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He served diligently and grasped the fundamentals of Pastoral Ethics thereafter becoming the Associate Pastor.

His outstanding leadership qualities and pragmatic approach afforded him the opportunity to become the Senior Pastor of a church in Millersville, Tennessee. Through his guidance and tenacious grip on faith, the church grew from 20 members to over 1,600 active covenant partners resulting in a new sanctuary being built.

It was well-defined that the Lord had a next assignment for Dr. Barker and he was divinely repositioned to Montgomery, Alabama where he pastored his second church. Their growth exploded from 120 members to 1,800 members in less than six years. His subsequent accomplishment brought him back to his home state in Oklahoma where he pastored his third church that grew from 300 to over 4,000 members, creating 135 active cell groups in a span of nine years. He furthered his education at the Southern California Seminary and received his Doctorate in Divinity. Here he successfully became a trainer of Pastors and Leaders in God’s Kingdom.

In the early 90s the Lord moved Dr. Barker to Georgia where he continued his calling to reach the unchurched. In 1993, he founded “Metro World Outreach Center," a multicultural, nondenominational church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. In August of 2009, Drs. Coy and Dee Barker founded "Elevation Point" in Loganville, GA - a place dedicated to elevating the lives of people! Dr. Barker and his wife, Dee, together minister to critical issues affecting individuals’ social and spiritual development.

They jointly collaborate with Dr. Ervin Donaldson of Calvary Christian International Fellowship where they offer worldwide supervision to over 1,000 licensed and ordained ministers. Their testimonies demonstrate God’s unmerited favor and complete restoration. The Barkers have two daughters that live in Oklahoma and their son resides with them in Atlanta, Georgia.
